Martyred Intellectuals Monument, Rayerbazar, Dhaka, Bangladesh27 December 2008
My last visit to this monument in
April of 2008 didn't really satisfy me. Its such a grand structure that it never filled my mind. And emotions associated with this monument gave the desire an added impetus. Didn't really plan this visit until around couple of days back, when the weather was foggy. The prospect of finding this great structure in the midst of a misty weather allured me. Also, finding the morning sun around the place would be a bonus!
Being very close to my home, I could go there pretty early in the morning. But I was disappointed with the weather, as the fog had suddenly cleared up after making an impact on our daily lives for several days. Anyway, I had to live with that and didn't find the trip any less rewarding than the earlier visit. I had the same satisfaction even though I shot only a few compared to the last visit.
I have the intention of giving more visits there in different seasons, in different weather, which can dramatise the effects of Nature on this amazing monument.
Here are a few shots of that memorable visit.
